LAKE JOCASSEE AND CROWDERS MOUNTAIN MAY 2020

We are still in the COVID-19 quarantine.

This weekend we really GOT OUTSIDE! Saturday was a fun packed day starting out with an at-home brunch with friends and then taking off to Devil’s Fork State Park to hang out on Lake Jocassee. We took the pups and hiked into our spot on a fairly private little beach a few bends over from the state park beach. The temperature outside was nice and warm (high 80’s) and the water was nice and brisk! We spent most of the day hanging out, wading in the water, and exploring the area.

Sunday was also a fun packed day, we met with family at Crowders Mountain State Park in North Carolina just outside of Gastonia. We did a short hike, roughly 1.5 miles with the dogs and then had a nice picnic & family visit. I had never personally been to Crowders and seems like there is quite a bit to explore there, we’ll have to return soon for a larger hike to check out the rest of the mountain!
