DEVIL’S COURTHOUSE MAY 2020

We are still in trenches of the COVID-19 quarantine

We decided it was time to get out of the house and pack it up to the mountains for a hike. We decided to make our way up the Blue Ridge Parkway and visit one of our favorite little hikes, Art Loeb at East Fork! We made our way from Greenville and once we arrived we discovered that the gates had not yet opened even though they were supposed to. We decided to make the best of the journey and pivot to hiking up to Devil’s Courthouse. The Devil’s Courthouse lookout is roughly a 1 mile hike from the gates at the Rosman, NC exit of the BRP. This was Finn’s first “real” hike out in nature and he did FANTASTIC! He had the time of his life sniffing in every direction his nose led him to. The weather was wonderful, slightly cool with some mountain breeze and a sunny clear sky. The lookout was awesome as usual and we didn’t see tons and tons of people like I anticipated that we might. It was just right!
