2019 Pacific Northwest Vacation
We traveled to Seattle, Vancouver, Anacortes, and the surrounding areas of each.
We visited Seattle, Washington for the first few days of our trip. I had never visited Seattle before and was quite excited to see what the city and the surrounding areas had to offer.
We took part in as many activities in the city as we could pack in, stayed in an awesome AirBnB close to downtown, and did a pretty epic hike at Mt. Rainier.
Check out some of the activities we did, our local recommendations, and photos that were shot on our journey.
The bulk of our trip was spent in the Vancouver area. We spent a lot of time exploring the city and traversing out of the city to explore North Vancouver, Squamish, and Whistler.
Vancouver itself is a very cool city where you find that awesome balance of mountains and ocean with great views.
Like any city there is a ton of traffic and a large homeless population, I personally favored leaving the city and heading to the hills…but that’s my personal preference.
The last part of our trip we headed to Anacortes, Washington and stayed on Fidalgo Island. Anacortes is simply amazing – absolutely beautiful some of the friendliest locals we’ve ever experienced. The local restaurants on the island were all so awesome it made finding dinner nearly impossible.
Fidalgo Island was full of wildlife – everything from friendly deer to river otters, porpoises, and much more.
I truly wish we had the time to be here longer and further explore the island. Anacortes could really be its own trip.
