MOUNT RAINIER

Mount Rainier is a glimpse from our PNW vacation. On our visit to Seattle we made a day trip to Mt Rainier for an extended day hike and to explore the local spots around the park.

We spent one day outside of the city and drove out to Mt. Rainier National Park to hike. The park costs $30 for admission (per vehicle) or you can purchase a National Parks Pass for $80. We ended up hiking the Skyline trail which was towards the top of the park from the main entrance. The day we were there we experienced a great deal of fog making it hard to see what surrounded us, but made for a very cool experience while hiking. On the hike we saw tons of chipmunks, marmots, trees, and unique plants to the area. This hike was listed as difficult on AllTrails, but if you are an active person I don’t think you would find it overly strenuous.
